ABORT! ABORT! Someone is Attacking the Castle!

How did the fight begin? The fight didn't officially begin until the attacking forces fired their weapons at the opposing army. Both sides claimed to be having only a fair war, pssh. YEA RIGHT! Both sides called in a battleship bishop to bless both sides before the war fully began. Could you imagine having to call someone every time you and you siblings got in a fight? I know my family  would sure have them on speed dial! The armies had many types of weapons, such as; crossbows, they were the most powerful weapon and the main weapon of defense. Fighters also had firepots, they were pots filled with flaming liquids, such as tar, and caught fire to anything that it touched.

Fighting often consisted of fighters on foot and fighters in the castle. For fighters on the castle they had something called a gun port. It was a hole in many parts of the wall to help protect the fighters as they were shooting. Another thing that helped them to stay safe is a horing. It was a wall that solders could extend out to drop firepots, water, or to shoot at the enemies below. for solders on foot they used a manlet, it was a portable wall that solders could roll around with them to protect them while on foot.

You are probably wondering yea well you talked about shooting at the castles and how the fight started but what about going underground to attack. Well they had a way to keep that from happening! They had burning tar above any place that miners could come up to attack the castle. They also had a way to detect the minors. people inside the castle would put bowls of water on the floor, if the water vibrated then that meant minors were digging under the castle floors. they also had slip-aways. They were hooks with an open slit on the outside to make sure ladders could attach.
